About Bob Ashley
When I retired in 2003, my wife Judy and I were finally able to do some of the traveling we had dreamed about. Our first trip was a National Geographic expedition to the Antarctic — a trip of a lifetime. However, the photographs I came home with left a lot to be desired. In 2005, after much soul searching, I went to Missoula, MT to attend the Rocky Mountain School of Photography's summer and digital programs. What started as a desire to take better photographs has turned into a passion that has taken over a large part of my time. Not a day goes by that I don't do something photo related. Shooting, processing, printing, always something. There are no deep philosophic meanings to my photography. It's just what I do now. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did making them.
